Acute Kidney INjury Patient Care

The Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) clinic was established to provide quality outpatient care for those who develop AKI during their hospital admission. AKI refers to abrupt impairment in renal function that can result from a number of factors such as infections, contrast dye, and medications. Our focus is to prevent recurrence of AKI, mitigate the risk of chronic kidney disease, and decrease the mortality for them. We are in the forefront in our nation in post-AKI care as we continue to strive for quality care and further our research in the field of AKI.
