The MIRTH AI Lab (Medical Imaging Research for Translational Healthcare with Artificial Intelligence) at the University of Florida is led by Dr. Wei Shao. The lab’s overarching goal is to develop and apply advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and deep‑learning methods to medical imaging, with the aim of improving diagnosis, reducing costs, and making medical imaging more accessible in clinical settings
